Using Scrawlr while browsing
Scrawlr button
Easily accessible at the bottom-left corner of your screen, the Scrawlr button is your access point to Scrawlr functionality on the overlay.
Click the Scrawlr button to reveal the page widget. Home to page information and interactions, the page widget is the focal point of the Scrawlr overlay experience.
Page widget
The Page Overview tab gives you an overview of the page you are currently viewing in your browser.
Let others know what you think of the page by leaving a vote or a tag. Share it with another user to start a private discussion. Or follow the page to stay up-to-date with any new content posted to it!
Use the tabs at the bottom to navigate between the different views (Page Overview, Scrawls, and Highlights).
Creating scrawls
Want to leave your thoughts on a page? Or have a question other users might be able to answer? Create a scrawl!
Click 'Post something' in the page widget to open the scrawl composer.
When you post a public scrawl, it will be visible to any other users who visit the page. You can also post your scrawl to a community to increase its reach!
Viewing scrawls
The Scrawls tab is where you'll find all of the scrawls posted on a page that are visible to you.
Just like pages, scrawls can be voted on or tagged by any users. Click on a scrawl to view the scrawl thread and respond with a comment of your own.
Viewing highlights
With the Scrawlr extension, you can easily highlight content on a page to add a vote, tag, or scrawl that is specifically connected to that content.
The Highlights tab is where you can view all of the content that has been highlighted on a page. Click on a highlight to view any scrawls attached to it or to add your own evaluation.
