Multiplayer can be fun but its gotten too grindy these days. Too many lacklustre live service offerings and weird tiered battle pass games. With single player, you can go at your own pace and just enjoy the experience. I've recently been playing Ghost of Tsushima and absolutely love it!

Single player is the only time a game gets to be weird and finished and yours. Multiplayer is grinding cosmetics next to thirteen-year-olds who'd call you slurs if their mic worked. You're not "being social," you're losing two hours of your life to a queue. The only people defending multiplayer are the ones who never finished a good story game in their life. I like to play Animal Crossing alone.
